When should I come to the hospital?
You should come to the hospital if you experience vaginal bleeding, leakage of fluid or your baby is not moving as he or she normally does. If you are experiencing more than six contractions in an hour and are less than 37 weeks you should be evaluated. If you are experiencing contractions less than five minutes apart that are painful after 37 weeks you should call the office/exchange or head to the hospital for evaluation.
Where should I go if I'm in labor?
Mercy Hospital
For evaluation, go to the main entrance (revolving door) and enter through the Maternity Welcome Center on your right
Missouri Baptist Hospital
For evaluation, take the Tower D elevators to the third floor and present to labor and delivery
St. Luke's Hospital
For evaluation, take elevators to the 5th floor and present to labor and delivery
How long will I be in the hospital?
After a vaginal birth, women are typically hospitalized for two days.
After a cesarean birth, women are typically hospitalized for four days.
